Ulefone Power Armor 19 is a pretty decent rugged smartphone. It has a decent screen size, huge Li-Po 9600 mAh battery tank and a decent a MediaTek Helio G99 processor.

Other feature include 108MP tri-lens rear camera system and military grade MIL-STD-810G certification, making it dustproof, waterproof, and shockproof.

In addition, there is also a thermal camera support which adds to it’s slightly expensive price-tag.

As for charging, there’s a wired, wireless and reverse charging support options available.

Design

Like most Rugged smartphone, Ulefone Power Armor 19 is designed to withstand tough conditions. It’s water-resistant, dustproof, and shockproof, makes it ideal for outdoor and rugged environments.

This device is sturdily built with reinforced materials designed to meet industry-standard ruggedness certifications, which include IP68/IP69K rating and military grade MIL-STD-810G, ensuring its enhanced durability even in extreme conditions.

The rugged phone wears rubberized bumpers and reinforced corners as added protection against accidental drops and impacts.

The sturdy phone weighs 409 grams which is quite chunky with dimensions measuring 175.2 x 83.4 x 18.8 mm.

The back panel has a textured finish, which enhances grip and in-hand feel.
Placement are thoughtfully placed to allow easy and convenient access with fingerprint scanner placed at the side.

The rugged smartphone is available in a single color option; black colourway.

Display

On the front, there’s a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel surrounded with thick bezels and a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for as added protection.

The display has a 1080 x 2408 pixels resolution, and renders a high 120Hz refresh rate ensuring clear visual and smooth on-screen transition.

Camera

The Power Armor 19 rugged smartphone boast of an impressive triple camera setup, headlined by the 108MP primary sensor with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) to provide immersive colours, crisp contrast support as well as quick and accurate focusing.

The other two supporting cameras are 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 5MP macro camera lens is present improved field of view and camera quality.

Other add-ons include a Hexa-LED flash for better low-light photography, several photography mode and High Dynamic Range (HDR) for enhanced versatility and camera capabilities.

Onto the front side, the 16MP selfie camera captures impressive photos with vibrant colours and sharp contrast.

This chip is found in the likes of Samsung Galaxy A24 4G, Tecno Camon 20 Pro, and the duo of Infinix Note 30 and Infinix Note 30 Pro.

The octa-core CPU is clocked at 2.0 GHz and supported by Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics processing, thus delivering smooth performance for low demanding games.

The device gets an ample built-in storage of 256GB and a generous 12GB of RAM, thus allowing sufficient storage of apps and media as well as smooth multitasking.

In addition, there is expandable storage support via shared card slot.
The Power Armor 19 boots on Android 12 operating system.

In Nigeria, the Ulefone Power Armor 19 cost about ₦270,000.

The ulefone was announced on the 27th of December 2022, and it’s currently available for purchase.
