Vivo V27 Pro

Vivo V27 Pro is a “limelight” must have smartphone for photography enthusiast. This newest addition to the Chinese brand’s photography-focused flagships “V-series” offers a large 6.78-inch curved 3D display, triple rear camera, 5G support and a lots more.

The difference between the V27 Pro and the V27 is the processor and the weight. The former offers a better processor and it’s 2g heavier than the latter.

The Vivo V27 Pro takes its design cue from it less premium sibling, the V27.

Built in glass brushed with matte finish rear panel that has a subtle marbling effect that changes the depth and darkness of colour when placed under UV light.

On the rear is a large rectangular camera island housing three lenses and a flash on the top left.

The super-thin smartphone bears an impressive 7.36mm thickness together with a curved 3D makes it Vivo’s thinnest smartphone with a curved edge screen.

The matte finish pick up prints easily and feels a little slippery to the touch, thus it’s advisable to use with a case.

Apart from it’s build, the phone sits comfortably in the hand with 164.1 x 74.8 x 7.36 mm in dimension and a satisfying light weight at 182g.

The front is covered with a large a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display which and big enough for avid mobile gamers and video streaming enthusiast.

Embedded on the screen is an in-display fingerprint sensor for additional security and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 offers durability and further protects the phone from scratch.

Other features on the display is it’s 20:9 aspect ratio that supports wide range of colours, thanks to its AMOLED technology which offers crisp, vibrant colours.

The resolution is a 1080 x 2400 pixels paired to its 120Hz refresh rate to ensure smooth scrolling and animation effect. The curved edges add a premium look to its overall design language.

The pro version of the V27 comes in Magic Blue and Noble Black matte finishes.



The V-series has always been a photography-eccentric phones. Here the rear camera configuration include a 50MP Sony IMX766V branded Quad-Bayer sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), Vivo’s hybrid stabilisation tech and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) all geared to ensure crisp and well detailed sharp images, even in low light conditions.

Others are 8MP wide-angle camera with 120° field of view, allows wide landscape capturing and a 2MP OmniVision OV02B1 sensor for portrait shots.

At the front is a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN1 sensor with Tetracell filter and 0.64µm pixels.

The smartphone can record 4k video quality at either 30/60fps and 1080p video quality at 30 with gyro-EIS stabilization feature.


Hardware and Software

Under the hood, is the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 octa-core chipset with Mali-G610 MC6 which offers decent performance and improved power and graphic efficiency.

In addition, it’s up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage further boost its performance.

The device runs on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13 skin.



The device supports dual SIM with 5G network connectivity support. It’s equipped Wi-Fi 5.1GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 version, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C 2.0.



The device packs in a 4,600mAh power tank battery supported by a 66W FlashCharge power brick which Vivo claims will juice up your device from 0 to 50 in less than 20 minutes and 100% in under an hour.


Vivo V27 Pro Price and Availability

Vivo V27 Pro price starts at $435 to $535 and about 319,000 in Nigeria.

The smartphone was announced and released on March 1, 2023.
